Who I work with
Maybe life looks fine from the outside - successful even - but on the inside, something is not quite lining up. It might feel like anxiety, pressure, disconnection, or a quiet sense that something needs to change, even if you cannot fully name it yet. You might be navigating questions around work, identity, relationships, or a major life transition. Or you may be someone who has spent a long time doing what was expected - at work, in relationships, or in life more broadly - and are starting to wonder what actually feels right for you.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and used to handling things on their own. I have a particular interest in working with people in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, as well as parents raising neurodivergent kids with more complex emotional needs. Caregivers are often so focused on everyone else that their own experience can go unexamined.
My approach to therapy
My approach is integrative, with roots in person-centered, existential, and relational-cultural therapy. In practice, that means I care less about putting people into boxes and more about understanding who you are, what has shaped you, and what feels meaningful to you. I pay close attention to the relationship we build in the room, because real change often happens when people feel understood, supported, and able to show up more honestly as themselves.
Therapy with me tends to be collaborative, reflective, and grounded in real life. I am not here to hand you a formula or analyze you from a distance. I am here to be in it with you: asking thoughtful questions, noticing patterns or expectations that may be just outside your awareness, and helping you get clearer on what matters and how you want to move toward it.
A bit about me personally
I studied accounting at Boston College and spent decades working in digital media and technology, first in New York City, then in Seattle. That background gives me a real understanding of the pace and pressure many of my clients are navigating. I am a native New Yorker, but Seattle has been home since 2005, where I live with my wife, our two kids, and our dog, Walter. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy being outdoors, staying active, cooking, reading, and spending time with my family.
