Intern Therapist
Hello and welcome – I’m so glad you’re here! Maybe you're navigating depression, anxiety, social anxiety, perfectionism, low self-esteem, or relationship challenges. Maybe you have a loved one experiencing these things and you're not sure how to help. Or perhaps you're living with chronic illness or difficult life circumstances and trying to figure out how to build something meaningful anyway. I have a particular interest in supporting people who are doing exactly that.
I also love working with couples and families experiencing conflict, disconnect, or change. You might be navigating a specific transition: adolescence, a new diagnosis, shifting roles, or you've noticed patterns of miscommunication and drifting apart and aren't quite sure how they started. Through therapy, we can find ways to turn toward each other and build solutions that actually work for your family.
I work with couples, families, chosen families, adults, and children of all backgrounds.
My approach to therapy:
You are the expert in your own life. My role is to be curious about who you are and collaborative about where you want to go - not to hand you a formula. My approach is warm, strengths-based, and grounded in empathy, and I use systemic and multicultural lenses to understand you in the full context of your family, culture, values, and unique experiences.
In practice, that might mean identifying concrete steps that create real, felt change. It might mean incorporating tools for mindfulness, communication, or self-understanding. I draw from solution-focused brief therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and the Gottman Method - but above all, I want therapy to feel genuinely useful for your specific goals. We'll work together to identify your hopes and find a path forward that actually fits.
A bit about me:
I was born and raised in Seattle, where I developed a deep love of coffee shops, music, and the Cascades. I hold a Bachelor of Psychology from Carleton College and am pursuing a Master's in Couple and Family Therapy at Seattle University. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in special education, early education, and Montessori settings, experiences that continue to shape how much I value the perspectives of children and teens. In my free time, you'll find me hiking, backpacking, knitting, reading, or playing guitar and banjo. I look forward to meeting you.
