You're someone who sets the bar high - for your career, your parenting, your creative work, your athletic performance. That drive is one of your greatest strengths. It's also, at times, the thing that keeps you up at night.
Ambition asks a lot of you. It can be exhausting, anxiety-provoking, and isolating in ways that are hard to articulate to people who don't share that same intensity. The support you need is specific, not generic reassurance, but someone who genuinely understands what it costs to want to do things well.
Therapy here is a relational, judgment-free space where all of it can surface: the anxiety, the grief, the pressure you put on yourself, the moments you're not proud of. Together we'll work on new ways of approaching life and relationships, building the kind of self-understanding that doesn't just reduce distress now but bears fruit for years to come: more ease within yourself, more closeness in your relationships, and clearer movement toward what you actually want.
Whether you're hoping for quieter nights free from work-related rumination or more meaningful, enjoyable moments with your children, our work together can help you move toward this growth.
Specific areas of focus include burnout, grief, trauma, new parents and parenting challenges, and major life transitions. The approach is psychodynamic, which means we go beneath the surface and examine the patterns you've built over time, understanding your internal world, and exploring how it shapes everything you experience. The goal is to meet you inside your own frame of reference, not impose one from the outside.
I'm currently completing my Master's in Psychology at Seattle University, with a focus on existential psychology. Outside the therapy room, I'm an avid runner, yogi, and weightlifter: staying active is non-negotiable for me. I'm also working on my first novel, have a deep love for psychoanalytic theory, and share my home with a rescue pit bull and two Siberian cats who provide daily doses of chaos and joy. (The pit bull remains unconvinced that swimming is fun. We're working on it.)
I look forward to building something meaningful together.
