Intern Therapist

Who I work with: You don't have to figure it all out alone. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, a major life transition, or simply a feeling of being stuck, you have more capacity for change than you may realize right now. I work with adolescents developing healthy self-esteem along with tools to manage social and academic pressures, older adults facing major life transitions and changing family dynamics, and hold a particular interest in supporting men facing the unique challenges of today -  a population that often carries a lot in silence and doesn't always find therapy to be a natural first step.

My approach to therapy: My approach is person-centered and holistic. True well-being, in my experience, comes from understanding how our mind, body, environment, and emotions interconnect - not from treating any one piece in isolation. Drawing from Gestalt and Narrative practices, I work with clients to ground into the present moment - the here and now - to safely explore what's actually happening in real time, rather than just talking about it from a distance. I also incorporate somatic work, because the body holds what the mind sometimes can't access, and learning to listen to it can be profoundly clarifying.

I believe strongly in each person's power to expand their self-knowledge, break through stagnation, and access new experiences of themselves and others - writing their stories in new ways while staying fully authentic to who they are. I genuinely enjoy the unique journey I take with each client in finding their own internal strengths and sense of resonance in life.

A bit about me: In my previous career I worked as a hairstylist for more than two decades. This experience has taught me the power of building trusting relationships and the privilege of being allowed  an intimate look into people's lives, the challenges they carry, and the resilience they show. It is what inspired me to become a therapist, alongside my own life-changing personal experience. I'm a Seattle native with many interests, but happiest when I'm outdoors.
