Intern Therapist

Self-awareness. Self-understanding. Self-compassion. Self-love. I see therapy as a journey toward these lifelong practices. This journey touches more than just the self: what you discover in therapy ripples, into your relationships, sense of belonging, and purpose. It is my honor to journey alongside you - offering curiosity, collaboration, compassion, and perspective along the way.

I work with adults experiencing life transitions - relationship changes, shifting identities, moving, changing careers, or navigating loss. I also work with caregivers, including parents and those caring for aging or ill family members.  Therapy is an opportunity to tend to your own inner life, even, or especially, when you're focused on the needs of others.

My work is informed by acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and psychodynamic theory. ACT invites us to develop more flexible ways of responding to inner struggles rather than fighting or avoiding them, allowing us to live life in stronger alignment with our personal values. Psychodynamic work supports deeper insight into how past experiences, contexts, unconscious patterns, and relational dynamics shape our current experiences.

I incorporate mindfulness practices, body awareness, and psychoeducation into my work. I was trained in trauma-informed, socioculturally responsive care and hold deep respect for the uniqueness and complexity of your inner experience.

Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy running, birding, and spending time with my family and friends. I have called Seattle home for well over 20 years and still cannot wait for the day when I spot an orca in the wild.
