Intern Therapist
I believe therapy is both a place of deep reflection and a powerful starting point for healing, growth, and reconnection with ourselves, our stories, and our communities. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through relationships built on trust, safety, and cultural understanding.
I offer therapy in both English and Spanish and am passionate about holding space for those navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, identity exploration (including cultural, racial, or gender identity), and major life transitions. I find deep meaning in working with adults (18+), couples, and members of our BIPOC communities. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking deeper clarity, I’m here to walk with you at your pace.
Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way and move toward a more connected and authentic version of your life. In my work with couples, I help partners strengthen their communication, deepen emotional intimacy, and move through conflict in ways that build connection rather than erode it. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space for all types of relationships—including queer, multicultural, and non-traditional partnerships—where each partner feels heard, valued, and empowered. My approach centers on fostering mutual understanding, emotional safety, and a shared sense of growth within the relationship.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to justice, anti-racism, and culturally responsive care. I see the therapeutic process as not just personal, but also relational and political, impacted by systems of power, privilege, and oppression. My goal is to help you feel seen, valued, and supported in a space where your lived experience matters deeply.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages and Cultures, with an emphasis on Latin America, from Washington State University. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Seattle University, where I’m being trained to integrate ethical, self-aware, and socially just practice into every therapeutic encounter. My clinical approach is grounded in person-centered and trauma-informed care. I draw from Relational Cultural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.
As a first-generation Mexican American, I’m deeply aware of how few Latinx therapists there are, and how important it is to find someone who understands your lived experience. That’s part of why I do this work. I want to help create the kind of space I know so many of us have needed: affirming, culturally responsive, and truly connected.
Outside of the therapy room, I find joy in all kinds of spaces—from hiking, paddleboarding, and going on long walks or runs with friends, to discovering new restaurants around the city. I love painting, playing guitar, and singing (whether it’s in the shower or in a private karaoke room!). As much as I enjoy the outdoors, I also cherish quiet evenings cozied up with a good show, a warm cup of tea, my partner and my cat Chopper curled up nearby. Seattle is home, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, clarity, and self-trust.
