Real Men

A Therapeutic Support Group

A support group for men.

This group explores various aspects of masculinity, including messages received from culture, family, partners and from within. Together we explore how these relate to our own struggles with relationships, stress, work/life balance, and different aspects of everyday life. Additionally, this group will foster community by providing opportunities to help one another heal, connect, and celebrate successes.

This is a 6 week group led by intern therapists Adam Piddington and Tucker Robinson that will meet every Sunday from 4:00 - 5:30 pm.

Every meeting will begin with a discussion period lasting between 30 to 45 minutes. This time will provide group members with the opportunity to engage in discussion over their own thoughts, experiences, and ideas regarding masculinity. The emphasis during this portion of the group will be on building connections through providing emotional support and healing. The remaining hour will be discussion centered around various topics linked to masculinity-each topic crafted to provide psychoeducation as well as illicit in-depth discussion and exploration. Some of the topics include defining masculinity, exploring your relationship with masculinity, emotion and masculinity, and myths around masculinity.
