COVID-19 Support Group

A 6-week virtual Support Group for people who are feeling anxious and isolated

April 29, 2020 - June 3, 2020

The Covid-19 pandemic and social distancing orders have impacted us all. Many are facing job uncertainty, financial stress, and fear - all while feeling isolation and loneliness. During this time where so much is uncertain, what we do know is that we need each other. Actively seeking out support and connection can decrease - or even eliminate - feelings of hopelessness and helplessness. And the sooner we lean into these supports the lower the long term effects!

This support group provides a safe space to address these issues with people facing similar challenges. The Covid-19 Support Group is led by our licensed therapist John Lembo, and will give you support and tools to help you better take care of yourself and manage stress. You will find connection and solidarity with other group members, a safe space to problem solve and ask questions, and the option to add individual therapy sessions if you find further support is needed. Group size will be kept small to make sure that each member has time to participate and to be heard.

You are not alone.

About the Facilitator

John Lembo, LMHC, Therapist

John spent his early career working with families in crisis and caught in a cycle of hopelessness and helplessness. In his work with those families he gained skills, knowledge, and tools to help people build more skillful coping strategies and ultimately find a pathway out of the cycle of hopelessness - all important skills he uses in his current practice with individuals and couples. This also makes him uniquely suited to support people through this current crisis; John brings a warm and grounding presence to his therapeutic work. He hopes that this group will bring you the space you need to find connection, hope, and practical tools to better cope and manage the stress, loneliness, and anxiety you may be feeling during these uncertain and unprecedented times.
