When engaging in therapeutic work I promise to show up with curiosity, respect, and a willingness to learn. You are the expert of your own lived experience. When we are in session together, we are a team. I work with folks struggling with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, shame, self-harm, interpersonal relationships, past trauma, recent trauma, and those who are exploring sexuality and gender identities. Engaging in therapy requires vulnerability, and I am always honored to be considered a safe and trusted person to do this work with.

I believe therapy is a tool that can help us find things like joy, warmth, self-love, humor, and fun amidst a world where certain realities are appropriately met with feelings of anger, fear, worry, grief, and pain. Part of my work with you will be to help you find a balance of emotional experiences that honor your truth and leave space for pleasant emotions to exist as well.

I am grateful to have witnessed the benefits of therapy in both my personal and professional life, and to have had a broad range of experiences as a therapist that leave me able to work with a wide range of presenting issues. I spent five years in Chicago working with individuals who struggled with severe mental health issues, substance use disorders, and severe trauma. I have spent the last few years in Seattle facilitating group therapy sessions with individuals who had a very wide range of ages, mental health symptoms, life goals, trauma histories, cultural backgrounds, neurodiversities, and lived experiences.

I am non-binary, transmasc, and queer. I use they/them pronouns. I am also kink allied and have experience working with those who practice monogamy and those who practice numerous variations of non-monogamy. My practice is influenced by Jungian Psychology, Trauma-Informed Care, and the teachings of bell hooks. I utilize a variety of evidence based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Present Moment Awareness. Outside of work I can be found bouldering, painting, reading in a park, or playing music.

Seeking out therapy is a tremendous act of self-compassion and I am glad that you are taking this step for your mental, emotional, and even physical health care.

I am excited by the possibility of getting to work with you!
